Coffee Benefits as a Scrub

Exfoliating Properties
Coffee grounds are a mechanical exfoliate, meaning they can be used to scrub away dead skin to reveal the new, healthy skin underneath, whereas chemical exfoliates remove skin cells with enzymes or acidic properties. Exfoliating with coffee grounds improves circulation, leaving you with smooth, glowing skin.
Caffeine and Your Skin
While you won’t ingest nearly as much caffeine when your coffee is on your skin instead of in your cup, the caffeine from  coffee grounds can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite and give your skin a firmer appearance.

Coconut Oil Benefits

Coconut oil has healing, antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antifungal properties.
Coconut oil also has antioxidant properties and it helps in the absorption of other minerals.
It also softens the skin and relieves dryness and flaking. Applied topically it helps to prevent wrinkles, saggy skin and age spots!

Brown Sugar Benefits

Exfoliating with a sugar scrub doesn’t relax the muscles, the way salt does, but it relaxes the mind with its delicious smell. Sugar is also full of glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid that is crucial for maintaining healthy skin and is usually a key ingredient in pricey products. The natural glycolic acid in sugar not only helps condition and moisturize skin, but protect it from toxins.

How to use your Coffee Scrub

Spread over your skin damp skin in a gentle circular motion before or during a warm shower or bath, massage it into your skin and leave it on like a mask for at least a minute while you enjoy your shower or bath. Rinse off with Warm water. Your skin will be smooth and hydrated.

TIP: For Reduction of Morning puffy eyes, place the scrub around eye area and leave it on like a mask for at least a minute. Rinse off with Warm water. Your Eye puffiness will be reduced and it helps with the reduction of the appearance of wrinkles.

I wanted a Face Lotion with Shea Butter and Coconut Oil. I have Normal to combination skin.

Regular Store Lotions left my skin Moisturized but only for about 12 Hours. When I forget to moisturize my skin felt tight and dry with oil spots.

I now use Castor Oil as Make up remover,  Rose Water as Toner and My Shea & Coconut Butter as Moisturizing Lotion.

Recipe for Castor Oil as Make up Remover Below

Depending on your skin type, you will need to use a different ratio of castor oil to extra-virgin olive oil (or alternate oil). My recommendation is:

Normal Skin: 1:1 ratio of castor oil to extra-virgin olive oil (or alternate oil)
Oily Skin: 3:1 ratio of castor oil to extra-virgin olive oil (or alternate oil)
Dry Skin: 1:3 ratio of castor oil to extra-virgin olive oil (or alternate oil)

Benefits of using these Natural Products are endless Links below

(I use Pure Rose Water from Soil )
